By use
EcoFlow and Jackery are the two best-known power station brands in the U.S., and both now use long-life LiFePO4 batteries across their current lineups. The differences come down to charging speed, solar input, weight, surge power, and warranty. Here’s how they compare model for model.
The short version
- Choose EcoFlow if you want faster charging, much higher solar input, more outlets, expandable batteries, and a longer standard warranty.
- Choose Jackery if you want the lightest unit for its capacity, high surge power for starting motors, and simple controls — often at a lower price.
Small units: EcoFlow RIVER 3 vs. Jackery Explorer 300 Plus
| EcoFlow RIVER 3 | Jackery Explorer 300 Plus | |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 245Wh | 288Wh |
| Output (peak) | 300W (600W X-Boost) | 300W (600W peak) |
| Weight | 7.8 lb | 8.27 lb |
| Wall charge time | About 60 minutes | About 2 hours |
| Solar input | 110W | 100W |
| AC outlets | 2 | 1 |
| UPS | Yes, under 20ms | Not advertised |
| Warranty | 5 years | 3 years (+2 when bought direct) |
Winner: EcoFlow RIVER 3 for most people, thanks to faster charging, UPS, and the extra outlet. The Jackery wins if you want slightly more capacity at a lower sale price.
1kWh class: EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus vs. Jackery Explorer 1000 v2
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus | Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 1,024Wh | 1,070Wh |
| Continuous output | 1,800W | 1,500W |
| Surge | 2,200W (X-Boost) | 3,000W |
| Weight | 27.6 lb | 24 lb |
| Wall charge time | About 56 minutes | About 1.7 hours |
| Solar input | 1,000W (2 × 500W) | 400W |
| AC outlets | 6 | 3 |
| UPS | Under 10ms | Check current listing |
| Expandable | Yes | No |
| Battery life | 4,000 cycles to 80% | 4,000 cycles to 70% |
| Warranty | 5 years | 3 years |
Winner: depends on use. The DELTA 3 Plus is the stronger all-rounder — faster charging, far better solar, twice the outlets, expansion, and a longer warranty. The Explorer 1000 v2 is lighter, has more surge headroom for starting fridges and pumps, and usually costs less.
Large units
At the top end the brands take different approaches. The Jackery Explorer 2000 v2 (2,042Wh, 2,200W, 4,400W peak, 39.5 lb) is a big battery one person can still lift. The EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 (4,096Wh expandable to 48kWh, 4,000W, 120V/240V, 113.5 lb) is closer to a home battery on wheels, built to power home circuits through a transfer switch. They solve different problems: the Jackery for portable large capacity, the EcoFlow for serious home backup.
Charging and solar
EcoFlow’s biggest advantage is how quickly its units refill. Its current models charge from the wall in about an hour and accept far more solar power — the DELTA 3 Plus takes 1,000W of panels versus 400W on the Explorer 1000 v2. If you plan to live off solar or need fast turnaround between outages, that matters a lot.
Weight and surge
Jackery tends to build lighter units and rates them for higher surge. That 3,000W surge on the Explorer 1000 v2 gives more margin when starting a refrigerator or pump than the DELTA 3 Plus’s 2,200W boost mode, which is designed for resistive loads like heaters rather than motors.
Warranty and support
EcoFlow’s current models carry a 5-year warranty. Jackery offers 3 years standard on its current Explorer models, with longer coverage on some models when bought directly from Jackery. Always register your unit after purchase.
Which should you buy?
- Home backup with solar: EcoFlow.
- Camping and carrying it often: Jackery, for the lower weight.
- Starting fridges, pumps, and tools: Jackery’s higher surge ratings help.
- Want the longest warranty: EcoFlow.
- Want neither? The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 combines high output (2,000W), low weight (24.9 lb), and a 5-year warranty. See our best power stations roundup.
What about Anker SOLIX and BLUETTI?
EcoFlow and Jackery aren’t the only serious options. Anker SOLIX currently offers the highest output in the 1kWh class (the C1000 Gen 2 delivers 2,000W at 24.9 lb with a 5-year warranty). BLUETTI tends to offer the most capacity for the money (the AC180 packs 1,152Wh). Our head-to-heads cover the most common matchups:

Common questions
Is EcoFlow better than Jackery?
For most home-backup buyers, EcoFlow’s current models have the edge: faster charging, much higher solar input, more outlets, expansion, and a 5-year warranty. Jackery wins for people who carry their unit often or need extra surge for motors.
Are Jackery batteries worth it?
Yes, if their strengths match your use. Current Jackery Explorer models use LiFePO4 cells rated for 3,000–4,000 cycles and are among the lightest for their capacity.
Are EcoFlow products good quality?
EcoFlow is one of the largest power station makers, and its current DELTA and RIVER models use LiFePO4 cells rated for 3,000–4,000 cycles with a 5-year warranty. As with any brand, register your unit and keep the receipt.
Can I use EcoFlow solar panels with a Jackery (or the other way around)?
Often, yes, with the right adapter cable, as long as the panels’ voltage and current stay within the power station’s solar input limits. Check both spec sheets before connecting.
