EcoFlow’s DELTA 3 Plus and Jackery’s Explorer 1000 v2 are the flagship 1kWh models from the two biggest power station brands. Both use LiFePO4 batteries and hold about the same energy. The choice comes down to whether you care more about solar, charging speed, and expansion (EcoFlow) or weight and surge power (Jackery).

The verdict in 30 seconds

  • Buy the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus for home backup with solar, the fastest recharge, six outlets, a sub-10ms UPS, expandable capacity, and a 5-year warranty.
  • Buy the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 if you’ll carry it often (3.6 lb lighter), need extra surge for motors, or find it at a lower price.

Where the EcoFlow wins

Solar charging is in a different league

The DELTA 3 Plus accepts up to 1,000W of solar through two inputs — 2.5 times the Jackery’s 400W. With enough panels and good sun, it can refill from empty in a couple of hours. During a multi-day outage, that’s the difference between running the fridge every day and rationing it.

Grows with you

You can add EcoFlow extra batteries later. The Jackery’s capacity is fixed, so if you outgrow it you buy a second unit.

Better for automatic home backup

A sub-10ms UPS switchover and six AC outlets make the DELTA 3 Plus easy to leave plugged in behind a router, CPAP, and fridge.

Where the Jackery wins

Lighter to carry

At 24 lb versus 27.6 lb, the Jackery is the easier one to load into a car every weekend.

More surge for motors

Jackery rates the 1000 v2 for a 3,000W surge. EcoFlow’s 2,200W X-Boost is designed to let higher-wattage resistive devices — heaters, kettles — run at reduced power; it doesn’t add starting power for compressors and pumps the same way a high surge rating does. For a fridge or a small pump, the Jackery has more margin.

A little more capacity

1,070Wh versus 1,024Wh: about 4–5% more runtime on the same load.

Which should you buy?

  • Home backup with solar panels: EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus.
  • Weekend camping, carried often: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2.
  • Starting a fridge or pump: Jackery, for the higher surge rating.
  • Might need 2kWh+ later: EcoFlow, for expansion.
  • Want the most output in this size: neither — the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 delivers 2,000W. See Anker vs. EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus.

Common questions

Is EcoFlow or Jackery more reliable?

Both are established brands using LiFePO4 cells rated for 4,000 cycles. EcoFlow backs the DELTA 3 Plus with a longer warranty (5 years vs. 3). For a brand-level comparison, see EcoFlow vs. Jackery.

Can either run a space heater?

Not usefully. A 1,500W heater would drain either battery in roughly 35 minutes, and it’s at the Jackery’s continuous limit. An electric blanket is a far better use of the battery.

Do I need the app?

Both work without an app for everyday use. The apps add remote monitoring and settings like charge limits and charging speed.
